Salento is like life

Sometimes in life when you love and you are very fond of something or someone it is difficult to leave them. There are poets and many famous singers who write their poems or their music dedicated to those they love; unfortunately I haven’t become famous yet for my poems (I can’t write them) or for my songs (I can’t either compose or sing),but one thing is sure, I’m very fond of my land, Salento, and I couldn’t part from it.

"The nicest thing of my land is what it gives. It doesn’t offer big prospects for the future but it leaves in its children or in its vitors’ hearts an indelible trace. The landscape is made up of white sandy expances contrasting with wonderful majestic cleefs, crystalline, perfumed sea;

...the land, cultivated with olives and vines is rich in poetry...

...culture, traditions, history impressed indelibly in the wonderful buildings, monuments, squares and churches…

...the people are so simple and genuine and ready to welcome the vitors. All this is the Salento, my beloved land, whose friendliness ensures that the bonds with this land remain close forever.

The Salento is like life: it is the best thig that you have. This is not a stock phrase, but it is what my heart says".
